The garden is getting a really good drink and freshen up now that the rain has started and it means that I haven't had to water it for a few days. There's so much moisture holding organic matter in the beds that it won't need watering again for a while even if the rain doesn't last for long. I've been busy treating my green waste bin as a compost bin all year so there should be some nice organic matter in the bottom of the bin by the time I want to tip it all out and I'm currently eyeballing spaces in the garden where I could create another raised bed for growing veggies. It's all coming in very useful and with the rising cost of food and some shortages I think veg growing is definitely the way forward .
