And still they keep on coming

If I look at one more tomato I shall scream.  The blimmin things are mounting up on the worktops, the freezer is full and I still have plenty to harvest.  We gave our postie a load this morning and my neighbours and everyone who comes to the house gets the offer of tomatoes.  I wouldn't mind if they were exceptionally tasty but I've grown far tastier ones in the past. I will definitely grow a lot less next year.

The yellow courgettes are starting to slow down now and they've been lovely. I'm leaving one to grow huge and become a marrow so that I can make a spicy marrow curry. It'll be lovely n the colder months and the marrow will store until I need to use it up.  The round ones are still producing well but they were sown a lot later. I like the novelty of them and will definitely grow them next year.  Radish are starting to s[rout so in a couple of weeks I'll be picking them. They will make a tasty addition to the salads.

  1. Still a few odd tomatoes in the greenhouse for me. The yellow courgettes started well but then they succumbed to the droughts & heatwaves . Enjoy your radish crunching x

    1. I've got two more round courgettes growing and then I'm pulling the plants out and letting the parsnips in that tub develop/
