Last year I tried my hand at selling plants at a carboot sale for the first time. I did really well and tomorrow we're going to give it a go again. I've cultivated loads of hosta and a whole variety of garden plants specifically to sell. I've got a few cheese plants too. They sold really well last year so I've got some lovely sized plants for sale. I only charge £6 a plant. The buyers get a bargain and my gardening costs for the whole year are covered. I give Tony one third of the profit to spend as he likes. I take a third and the rest covers my costs for my garden. It's a great way to make a bit of money but you need to be able to face down people that try to knock the price down. I'll let you know how I get on
