Tony and I have been shopping this morning and I spotted a bunch of spring onions on offer for 35p. The video below shows how to harvest spring onions for a long time throughout the year. I don't know if it will work here in the UK but for 35p it's worth giving it a try. I plan to pot up the spring onions in individual pots and then put them in our conservatory where it's cold but very sunny. I'll move them out into the garden when the weather is a little warmer. It will be interesting to see if I can harvest onions all year from the little bunch that I bought.

ReplyDeleteLet me know how you get on.It'll be good to compare harvests. I planted 8 spring onions in the module pot and will put them out in the garden when they have rooted.
