My porch is chocca with seedling and plants right now. I have flowers on some of my cucumbers and there are loads of beans on the dwarf French beans. We'll be eating them in a week or two. As soon as the weather warms up I want to plant some courgettes out in the raised bed. It's been a blimmin cold April and I can't wait until all risk of frost has gone... If there is such a thing in England.
I'd like to put some greenhouse staging in the porch but I'd also like to buy a small bungalow with a large garden a bit further south or even maybe Wales. Don't hold your breath though because we get this urge every couple of years. Tony is due to retire next year and then we will seriously consider our future plans.
Wow, you are so much more ahead than mine are. Fantastic.

They are living in the porch where it's lovely and sunny. If it's nice and warm outside I pop them all onto the front garden but if it's really cold I open the front door to let the heat from the hall into the porch to warm them all up. Proper babied are my plants at the moment. :-)
DeleteI think what you really need Cherie is a house with just window ledges..and lots of them...anything else is just a nice to have really. (I often say to Monsieur that I'd be happy with a good chunck of land, a caravan, big greenhouse and maybe some poly tunnels) I can't believe your cucumber plants have flowers on them already! Lulu x
ReplyDeleteMy plants are right old sissies. They are better looked after than the hubby. :-)
DeleteWow, looking good, even though you've had a cold April. I keep missing this garden blog bit, but I noticed your urge to move south again..... we are south & you'd have a longer growing season?????(giggle).
ReplyDeleteWe get the urge to move now and then but it always passes. The thought of packing up and moving is what puts us off
