Well the weather forecast was wrong... again... It has been fairly warm rather than bitterly cold and the rain was barely more than a sprinkle. I cleared out the planter of overwintered radishes as they were past their best and starting to feel a little bit course in salads. I added an inch or two of fresh compost and then sowed some fresh radish seed and some spinach in the same planter. I've sown celeriac, cucumber, brussels sprouts, hot pepper and french bean seeds. They are currently in modules on my bedroom windowsill. The hot pepper will stay in the porch as it get really warm in there and the heat will bring them on really well. I moved the 'radish planter' onto the path as it gets warmer than the patio earlier in the day and will benefit from the shelter of the wall around the pond
My Duo pear tree is starting to show signs of buds appearing and my apple tree looks as though there are blossom buds. Hopefully we should get some nice apples this year.
Looking good Cherie, you have been busy. It has been a lovely day, good working weather. I think every garden should have a radish planter. My hot peppers are still happy in the bedroom window. Apple blossom is divine. Lulu x
