I spent a lovely hour out in the garden before the rain started yesterday. I used two small off cuts of guttering to create a seed starter for some beans. I didn't want to go to the expense of buying gutter ends as the pieces are really quite short and hardly worth it. One being only two feet and the other is about ten inches. Being brilliant (shoulda been a brain surgeon) :-) I stuck plant pots on the ends of each piece
My seed box was starting to look a bit disorganised so I set to and sorted all my seeds month by month
Dead organised again. |
During a lull in the lashing rain I picked a load of salad and other edible leaves from the garden and added a few veggies from the fridge. I've packed up Tony's salads for the rest of the week and made one for myself. I only add the protein and a spoonful of mayonnaise to two of the boxes at a time as I like to add it fresh every couple of days.
Then I took a large pot of yoghurt and whizzed a bag of frozen mixed berries into it with my blender. We had some as an ice cream substitute and there are three boxes for Tony to take for breakfast over the next few days. I've added some double cream to his to make them a bit more filling
I sowed a variety of veggie seeds and potted on a couple of Dragon trees then swept up all my mess and settled in for a cooking session as the rain stopped play.
Lucky Tony having those lovey fresh salad pots! Yes, you are ingenious with the plant pots and should have be a brain surgeon. Lulu x
