It's absolutely hammering down

We popped into the local garden centre today and purely on a whim I bought two Asparagus crowns.. I've planted them in a pot until I can give them a permanent home in one of the veggie beds.  I'd just finished outdoors when it started with the old  thunder and lightning. The rain is absolutely bashing it down.  I wouldn't care but I've just planted my sweetpeas out so they are going to get a bit of a battering. It's good to see the rain though and the variegated privet hedge that we planted in November 2019 is really coming along nicely. It's starting to thicken up look like a proper hedge instead of a row of skinny twigs.

  1. All week long I have been able to hear the garden plants happily sucking up the water. The rain was very much needed. Lulu x
