Fresh picked beans

It's been glorious today and I have chanced my arm planting some chillies out.  The dwarf French beans are going into overdrive and producing beautiful tasty pods now.  I cooked some yesterday for tea and drizzled them with a bit of butter.  They were every bit as nice as asparagus and as it's going to be a few years before we get a decent picking from our asparagus bed I will enjoy the beans dripping in butter.

Oh so tasty.

  1. I've just done a quick catch up on your "other' blogs & have thoroughly enjoyed reading this veg one which I often forget about. You are way more prolific than I am these days, & I envy your energy & commitment. Must be me aging or not getting along with this hilly backyard(giggle). Take care & hugs.
