This morning I moved the grow bag containing the tomatoes under the arch so that I could tie up the tomatoes onto string. They are starting to put a bit of growth on and were beginning to look a little floppy. They've been grown from the seed from shop bought baby plum tomatoes so I've no idea how big they will grow. It may well be that the won't need the strings but time will tell. The rain last night was very welcome and it looks as though we will be getting some more in the coming days. I've still watered the cucumber though as it's a thirsty brute.
The thirsty brute of a cucmber |
It's absolutely smothered in baby cucumbers |
The cucamelon |
I may have been a bit ambitious putting a cucamelon and a chilli into this planter but I will feed and water them well |
My first cucumbers.. Variety White Wonder |
I have discovered that when two of the cucumbers grow close together they fuse into one curly one. It's something I will watch out for as this variety of cucumber seems very prolific. I will need to remove quite a few which seems such a shame.
Wow, you're 'White Wonder' cucumbers look amazing Cherie! What do they taste like??? I've only just planted my small 'Crystal Lemons' and 'Burpless' ones out :0 Lulu x
