Cucumbers

We've been away for a few days and I was a bit concerned about the plants coping without water. I usually water them twice a day but did make sure that they had  a huge drink before we went. I tried pricking holes in pop bottles and standing them on the pots but the water ran out too quickly so I took them away again.  I thought it might have trickled out slowly and kept the plants well watered. I plan to look at some other methods of keeping them watered if we take a weekend away again. We had a smashing time while we were away and came home to find  these little beauties. There's plenty more on the plants too so I plan to start pickling them and adding them to my store of preserves.
