I'm trying to make the most of every bit of available growing space now and yesterday Tony and I picked up a packing crate before it got chopped up and disposed of. It's 54 inches long and 23 inches wide. Tony's spent all weekend turning it into a proper raised planter with a hidden storage area for me. He put a false bottom in as we didn't need it to be as deep as it was. It's the perfect space for stashing all my plant pots, seed trays and a spare trowel and fork.
