The new planter has had several coats of cuprinol and is about to get a polythene lining. I'm at the 'what shall I plant in it' stage. Lettuce might be a good option and I'll probably interplant it with spring onions as they will both come in very handy. I picked lettuce all through the winter this past year and it made a lovely addition to the winter salads. The cucumbers have started to push out more fruit and have been amazingly productive. I've pickled some and some I have fermented but I need to try those ones to see what I think. I might take the peas all out tomorrow if the weather is fine as they are starting to look look really shabby and I want the garden to look good as well as be productive. I have another batch of peas sprouted in the length of gutter and I intend to plant these for the shoots. The Kohlrabi that I sowed last week is going from strength to strength and will be ready to prick out into its final planting spot by this time next week. I've never tried them before so it will be a new taste experience for me.
