Delicious and beautiful

I've just wandered around the garden picking a few things for dinner. Don't they make such a pretty display until I am ready to prepare them. I will be picking some corn cobs too but will leave them until the water in the pan is boiling.. can't eat any fresher than that.

Sprout and Kale leaves,  cucumbers, runner beans,
cucumelons and a variety of tomatoes

The salads for tomorrow's lunch are cheese and chive.  Of course there is the usual lettuce, celery, tomato and cucumber all fresh picked this morning. I also added cucamelons, golden purslane, chive flowers and some red and pink Gladioli flowers that I tore up. To add a bit of sharp pickle taste there's some lacto fermented cucumber too and these are all from my garden. The only veg I added that isn't from the garden is the pickled beetroot.  It's made me realise just how much we do like beets so I plan to dedicate a decent amount of space to them next year. We've made the decision to get rid of the pond and once that has gone I am going to sit and re plan that area in the garden. It's a fairly big space so will give me some much needed growing space.
