Tony and I have just shared our first sweetcorn and the little melon that I grew in the porch. The melon was absolutely gorgeous. Honey sweet and dripping with juice. Far nicer than anything I've ever bought before and we're sad that I only managed to grow one. But of course there's always next year. The sweetcorn was crisp, sweet and utterly delicious dripping with butter.

How exciting Cherie that you grew the melon from shop bought melon seed. What a delicious treat. I can't remember if I told you I managed to grow an outdoor watermelon one year (just the one). It was smaller than the shop ones, but the taste... oh my! So much better! Great job on the sweetcorn too :) Lulu x
