Yesterday I made the most delicious and warming winter soup using a big chunk of spicy chorizo, plenty of veg from the fridge and a couple of fresh picked celeriac. There's mushrooms, parsnips, carrots, onions potato, chillies and celeriac in the soup. To give it a good slug of heat and spice I added dried chilli, cumin seeds, ground turmeric, ginger, cloves, black peppercorns, paprika and a good dash of salt. We had some for lunch yesterday and have just had a big bowlful with some artisan sour dough bread. Soup is always nicer the next day and this one didn't disappoint.
