Warming winter stew

I fancied making a stew today so that I could use up some of the Christmas food from the fridge. I've been out into the garden and picked a celeriac, a kholrabi, some sprout leaves, a large kalette leaf and a swede. I've turned it into a lovely warming stew using up a garlic clove from my store, a shop bought onion, turkey and gravy left over from yesterday and a large piece of chorizo. I've thickened it a bit using a big spoonful of mashed potato and parsnip that was left over from yesterday. There's some garlic bread to use up so we'll be having it for tea with the stew.

To make it I grated the root veggies and fried them all in the fat I took from the top of the gravy. I shredded the brassica leaves and stir fried them in with the other veg then added the leftover gravy, some turkey and the chorizo. It's currently simmering away on the hob.

There's plenty in the way of root veg and brassica's in the veg plot and  my salad bed is looking great.
