My beautiful gorgeously fragrant Daphne has decided to turn up its toes and die for no apparent reason. Tony and I were just saying though that we've had it twenty years so it doesn't owe us anything. I cut it all back yesterday to get rid of as much dead stuff as I can reach and today I've taken some cuttings and pushed them into damp sand in the hope that one or two will root and grow. I also took a couple of cuttings from my orange tree to see whether I can grow them on to be little trees. Last night I ordered a citrus trio of lemon, lime and orange from Amazon as I've wanted a lime for a very long time. I killed the last lemon that I had so the new one will be far better taken care of. The fragrance from citrus blossom is stunning and easily fills a room so in a few years time I hope to be enjoying the scent from them all. I'd hoped to get out and do a bit of gardening today but rain has stopped play. It'll do all the plants the world of good so I'm not complaining.
