The front garden

It isn't common place here in the UK to grow fruit and veg in our front gardens. Other than the occasional apple or pear tree it's a rare things to see foodscapes.  I've changed our front garden this past year and grown all manner of edibles. The first photo shows the cold frame that I was given. It was being thrown out because it was broken. All it needed was one screw to fix it. I repaired it yesterday and painted it this morning.

I think it looks just fine sitting on the gravel and will be put to very good use.

I do love a splash of colour in the baskets and these flowers are starting to bush out nicely

We don't actually use the front door these days as we have a side entrance straight into the kitchen.

The raised planter is burgeoning with produce now. It seems no time since they were tiny transplanted seedlings.

Just look at all the flowers on the tumbling tomatoes. Hopefully we are going to have a good crop.

This gorgeous house plant is enjoying the warmth and wet outdoors. I'll bring it back in if the weather fairs up as I don't want the sun to scorch the leaves.

This is the view across the garden when I stand on the drive.

  1. It seems to be a good year for tomato flowers - let's hope the fruit is as flourishing. :-)
