Planted up the herb planter

What a difference a few degrees make. Yesterday was bitterly cold and today is pleasantly warm. It is so much nicer potting things up and sowing seeds outdoors when it's warm. I've potted up my chocolate, ginger, apple and peppermint mint varieties in the herb planter.  There was some parsley struggling to recover from the winter so I popped it into the spare space. It will either live or die...

Four varieties of mint. Some  parsley and a variegated thyme

The potting area and wood store

It's nice to have a proper under cover designated potting area.  It has saved me from making so much mess in the kitchen

Mini greenhouse is earning its keep this year

The mini greenhouse has been brilliant for hardening off the brassicas.  I currently have calendula, Kalettes, Brussels Sprouts and spinach in there. There's also a few unidentified brassica orphans and as soon as we have a few days of guaranteed warmth they can go outdoor under one of the low tunnels. I'll cover them with fleece if it's going to get exceptionally cold
The lawn could do with a cut

The lawn could really do with a cut as it's looking really untidy. It's still a bit too soggy though so it will have to wait a while longer.
