The micro tomatoes

 Yesterday I decided to plant the new pedestal planter with my Micro Toms and stand it in the porch as it gets really warm in there. Then I looked at the French beans which have come on much faster than I expected them to.  They are now sharing the pot with the micro toms as they will be finished long before the tomatoes and I will just cut them down and leave the roots to add their nitrogen to the compost. The tomatoes will be productive for many more months than the french beans so will be able to spread around the planter a bit better once the beans are finished.  I love to make as much use of every bit of spare space as I can. My chilli and bell pepper seedlings are coming along nicely and by the time they go outdoors in May should be a good size.  I may need to pot them all on into bigger pots if they grow as fast as the french beans have though.

It's a good job we don't use the front door.
