It's harvest time

Last night Tony cooked tea and I'm chuffed to bits to be able to say that every veg we had was fresh from the garden. Same thing today,  I did a stir fry for tea and everything was picked fresh from the garden. The White Wonder cucumber that I picked earlier this week was lovely.  Sweet crisp and juicy.  The ones growing in my porch are coming along a treat.  There's two varieties in there along with a melon plant that I grew  from saved seed from a shop bought yellow melon.

Look at this little beauty

The melon

There's about six this size

Cucumber White Wonder

We've been snacking on fresh peas today.. Don't you just love my glass fishy dish. It's one of a set of six that I bought the other week. I also bought a much larger one and they will be great for serving prawn cocktails and seafood salads. mmmmmmm,

Fresh from the garden

The peas were grown from a packet of supermarket dried peas. So much cheaper than buying peas for growing though it will be interesting to compare them with the ones I will grow from Brenda's seed.

    1. I totally agree. I just need to stop eating them and leave them to get bigger.
