This morning I picked these beauties and have pickled two of them using different methods. Details on my other blog if you are interested .
I've sowed a big pot of carrots and am about to sow some veg for the Autumn. It's the time of year to be thinking ahead to the next season. I'll be sowing different varieties of Kale, lettuce, beetroot, turnip and some more rainbow chard. The chard is lovely raw in salads but it's also nice stir fried. Don't discard the stalks as they are a lovely crisp addition to salads and stir fry dishes. The turnip and beetroot greens are also lovely both aw and cooked. In effect you are getting to veggies in the space take up by one.
I am and will look out for it, thanks. They look great.

I don't think I've ever tried pickled cucumbers, but I suppose they're just like gherkins? Thank you, you have reminded me that I need to sow some carrots and beetroot. Haven't sown any this year yet and I do love them so. Lulu x
