A lovely day for gardening

I've had a smashing afternoon out in the garden today. I transplanted a load of kohlrabi and a load of spring onions and then trimmed the tops off the onions..  The tops are currently drying in my dehydrator and will be turned into onion powder tomorrow. Tony has put the cold frame that he made up on top of the wood store for me.  It will be brilliant for over wintering the pelargoniums when I start to dig them up.  I discovered a very long time ago that the winter cold doesn't kill them it's the winter wet. I also transplanted a couple of little Florence fennel seedlings that had suddenly appeared in the tray. I thought that nothing else would germinate so got a bit of a surprise to see them.

I noticed that one of my rainbow radish is flowering and the other day I was watching Terry's you tube channel.  He eats the pods as a tasty treat so I am going to give them a try.  (1) #SHEDWARS21: GARDENING 🌻 Can I Eat Radish Seed Pods As A Delicious Snack 🌻 Parsnip Reveal - YouTube

Don't forget to give him a like when you take a look.

I've no idea how long the pods take to develop but I guess I am about to find out. It will be something a bit different in the salad boxes. Tomorrow I intend to pickle some radish slices. I did this earlier in the year and they look and taste lovely. I hope to do jar of the rainbow radishes as I think the different colours will look really pretty in a jar on my food shelf
