Just before Christmas I dropped three quid onto the paypal account of one of my favourite you tubers to help support his channel. I know it's not very much but I suggested he might buy himself a packet of seeds as my way of thanking him for being so helpful. He emailed to say thanks and then last week he dropped me an email to say he'd bought a packet of sprout seeds. It's nice that he took the time to let me know what he actually spent the money on and it'll be nice to see them growing and becoming a productive crop. I have a small amount of money set aside to support various You Tubers as it takes a lot of their time to create and upload the videos. I don't smoke, hardly drink and You Tube is my guilty pleasure...If I can give a little back as and when I can afford it then that's where my 'treat' money is going. It's far better than a bar of chocolate and I have learned so much from the online gardening community. Having said that, I have spent far too much time browsing lately and will be cutting back my online hours.

ReplyDeleteI have subscribed to the ad free YouTube thingy so I know that whenever I watch them, they get a bit of a payment and I don't have to plough my way through all those boring old adverts.
xx
The ads irritate me too.
Delete^^^ interesting what Joy says about the ad free subscription - the ads drive me potty - will have to look into this.
