I've spent the past couple of hours dragging things around the garden today. It started off looking like this
In the 3ft by 2ft green raised planter that I put under the trellis panel this morning I've put two well rooted jasmine cuttings, some Hyacinth bulbs and an orphan gladioli. Of course I had to empty all the reindeer poo and compost out before I could move it because it was just too heavy to drag around the garden on my own... I could have waited for himself to come home and give me a hand but wanted to see the job finished. I really ought to have a good sweep around the paths but I am just too tired so it will have to wait for another day. On the front of the raised planter are two shelves and I quite like the idea of displaying some auricula... except I don't have any so will pop some troughs filled with lettuce there instead. They won't mind that its shady there.
Well done on the days gardening & look forward to seeing all the wonderful edibles over the year. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait for the weather to improve so that I can make a proper start.
DeleteWell done. It was good gardening weather, for sure. It's exciting to think of all the produce to come, isn't it?

I forget that I only have a garden and not a field when I'm planning what to grow
DeleteLooking good!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that we could eat hostas - I thought they were just for slugs 😄
So did I until last year :-)
DeleteGood tidying tactics Cherie! The shelves look perfect for ariculas, or lettuce :) What plans do you have for the polycarbonate sheets?
