Harvesting onions

Yesterday I harvested all my onions and now have them drying under the pergola. I've pulled the last of the lettuce in the salad bed as it was all bolting and it'll be a few weeks before we have any lettuce ready. That's no problem as we have plenty of other greenstuff to put into salads

Some of my onion harvest

I've sown a few rows of carrots for the Autumn, some more radish and golden purslane for the summer salads and another batch of beetroot for either leaves or bulbs depending how well they do. The radish in the front garden bottle garden system is starting to produce pods so they'll be going into the salads in another week or so and I am starting to harvest some of the potatoes from my potato challenge. I tipped a small pot out the other day and harvested 240g of beautiful tasty spuds. Not a bad return for one of the potatoes from a supermarket bag.
